Ashley’s expertise is in training and equipping leaders and teams on how to lead across generational divides; particularly Gen Y (popularly known as millennials), Gen Z and now the newest generation, Generation Alpha. As a generational expert, Ashley understands that leaders need to inspire and engage employees and consumers and connect them with the organisation’s purpose and vision.
Ashley is an expert communicator with a keen understanding of the emerging generations. She is passionate about helping organisations not only understand but engage with the first truly global generation. With years under her belt at McCrindle, Australia’s leading research-based advisory firm, Ashley is now the company’s Director of Advisory.
She is highly experienced in analysing trends, creating engaging research-based content, and devising communication strategies. Ashley’s extensive study on generational trends makes her well positioned to advise on how to achieve cut through in this rapidly changing, message-saturated era.
Ashley is the co-author of two books, Generation Alpha (Hachette Australia, 2023) and Work Well Being (Rockpool Publishing, 2020). In penning Generation Alpha, Ashley and her co-author Mark McCrindle, interviewed thousands of children, parents, teachers, business leaders, marketers and health professionals. The book is meticulously researched and contains invaluable insights on how to empower this new generation.
In addition to delivering powerful keynote presentations, Ashely conducts trainings for corporate and not-for-profit organisations, hosts boardroom briefings and facilitates panels. From generational change to the impact of technology, from key demographic transformations to social trends, Ashley delivers research-based content that analyses global and national megatrends.

In any given week, we spend more than a third of our waking hours at work, so it is the place we most need to get wellbeing right. It is also a key priority for workers, with 83% saying it is up to the employer to facilitate.
Based on her book Work Wellbeing: Leading thriving teams in rapidly changing times, in this session Ashley will provide a practical, data-driven and engaging guide to work wellbeing; equipping leaders, managers and employees with a thorough understanding of what work wellbeing is, why it’s a non-negotiable for the future and how to achieve it.
The future is shaped not just by the technological changes but also the sociological changes. It is critical to understand the attitudes, values and expectations of the diverse generations comprising today’s workforce. This session will outline the new demographics and the social trends which have shaped Gen Y and Gen Z and will identify the HR implications of these new attitudes, values, and workplace priorities of today’s employees.
