Olly Hicks is an adventurer at heart; he has been so since childhood. From solo voyages across the sea to mountain treks with National Geographic, he steps out into the unknown to experience thrilling adventures. The first to row to New Zealand from Tasmania, Hicks continues to build his brand of adventure all the time. Adding extreme kayaking to his accomplishments, he’s traveled 200 miles to Norway from the Shetland Islands in recognition of the World War II Shetland Bus operations.
Born in December 1981, he spends his life rowing and paddling in ocean expeditions, covering more than 6,000 miles. He imparts information about his journey during motivational speeches, which he shares across the globe. Inspired by a novel, he and his travel partner Bullard voyaged from Greenland to Scotland in 2016. It was the first kayak team to make the journey in the modern age.
Hicks is the eldest of four children. Running multiple businesses, he’s known to dabble in energy, executive search, and marquees. With an interest in media, he’s produced three adventure documentaries and served as a representative for the Bremont Watch Company.
As a member of the Cordon Rouge Club, Hicks is recognized as one of the most successful adventurers in the world.
