Throughout her time as a handball player, Anja has met thousands of young people, coaches, and parents who have each contributed to the content of this talk. This is the raw reality. The stories are real. The emotions are real. This is the talk about talents who are fighting their own inner battles, believing they must face them alone and that they are the only ones experiencing these feelings.
These players have parents and coaches who, in their unique ways, provide feedback. Most have the intention to help and contribute to athletic growth, and in many cases—to help the next national team player emerge.
Anja has encountered numerous adults with high ambitions for their talent. Sometimes these talents become the next national team players, but in other cases, they are burdened with training, injuries, lack of motivation, and depression due to the fear of disappointing their supporters.
Many young athletes ask themselves: What is actually good enough? In a society where we are constantly told that we must develop, it can be difficult to believe that we are ever good enough. Many live in a pursuit of something more without quite knowing why.
This talk is designed to articulate the thoughts and feelings that come with sports and to provide a way to manage them. Now I’m sitting safely and happily in the office after a few fantastic days. Three talks that took Klepp by storm. Tonight, we had over 350 people... The whole of Klepp has been uplifted after this... Feedback has been pouring in from all sides—absolutely amazing... And we in Jæren are not used to so many positive 'superlatives...' On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give it 25... This was a wonderful experience with students, the municipality, and the school district, and we have welcomed nearly 900 people over the course of this day. I’m reclining in my office and enjoying all the hours we have spent planning this. Thank you!

Anja was present, engaging, inclusive, informal, and knowledgeable. She encouraged us to try something new. She had a wonderful ability to be close and see all of us. She checked in and involved us along the way. There was a good balance between theory and practical exercises to test the tools Anja shared. These concrete exercises are easy to implement and can be used later on oneself and with loved ones. Absolutely fantastic and something we will recommend to others! Worth every penny!

The talk with Anja was absolutely fantastic! She hit right 'home' with our athletes. Using one of 'ours' to demonstrate some of her tools made it more powerful and understandable for the young ones. At the same time, it empowered us adults as coaches and parents with the message she wanted to share. Absolutely brilliant!!

IOGT thanks Anja for her participation in the debate on youth and substance abuse prevention on May 2nd in Larvik. We experience that Anja has a big heart for the cause and an enthusiasm that is contagious. We also find that what she conveys is very thought-provoking for the audience. She combines discussing the issue with storytelling that connects the cause to lived experiences. She does this in an excellent manner.
