Andrew Lee Miller was born in the United States, in the mostly farming state of Ohio, in a small village of only 3000 people. In college, he realized he had never met foreign people and began to seek them out, eventual switching to International Business with a Specialization in Latin America. Around the time of graduation, a tragic death caused Andrew’s small world to come crashing down and he fell into a deep depression with a will to commit suicide, yet a sheer fear of embarassing his parents caused him not to do it. Around the same time, Andrew’s University Spanish teacher offered him a free place to stay in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to learn Spanish fluently with a Mexican family, rather than find a job as everyone else was doing. Since he had nothing to lose, and without hesitation Andrew used his life savings of $200 USD to fly one-way to a place he had never even Googled, without calling or planning anything. 12 months later Andrew was fluent in Spanish, had a whole new life as Andres, a career in Digital Marketing and a new idea was born. He has since lived in 10 countries, speaks many languages and has worked remotely for over 15 years, going on to write books, speak around the world and fill up over 4 passports. Radical Travel is the idea of shocking your system with spontaneous, and potentially risky voyages to the unknown. In a world where travel has become condensed and dominated by regurgated blogs and social media shots, Radical Travel is a new concept that avoids the beaten path and planning and instead utilizes fate, karma, and the goodness of the human race to overcome your fear of failure, depressive states and helps you realize that not only is life worth living but that you can accomplish.
