After 15 years of working remotely, from Nepal to South Africa, for companies and as an entrepreneur, Andrew Lee Miller knows a few things about remote work. In this powerful keynote for Entrepreneurs and Employees alike Andrew discusses the 10 commandments of Remote Work, which earned him the title of one of Remote.com’s Remote Work influencers of the year in 2021 and 2022. These include the ROWE framework (results-oriented-work-environment), the radical acceptance of time off, not tracking hours, the “going way offline” philosophy and much more. This is an excellent keynote for business conferences as Remote Work is clearly here to stay yet many corporations struggle to ensure their employees are up to par remotely. Andrew shares data from his own career and popular research to help guide managers, employees, entrepreneurs and anyone else struggling to get it done remotely in this powerful 30
minute keynote.
Andrew Lee Miller was born in the United States, in the mostly farming state of Ohio, in a small village of only 3000 people. In college, he realized he had never met foreign people and began to seek them out, eventual switching to International Business with a Specialization in Latin America. Around the time of graduation, a tragic death caused Andrew’s small world to come crashing down and he fell into a deep depression with a will to commit suicide, yet a sheer fear of embarassing his parents caused him not to do it. Around the same time, Andrew’s University Spanish teacher offered him a free place to stay in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to learn Spanish fluently with a Mexican family, rather than find a job as everyone else was doing. Since he had nothing to lose, and without hesitation Andrew used his life savings of $200 USD to fly one-way to a place he had never even Googled, without calling or planning anything. 12 months later Andrew was fluent in Spanish, had a whole new life as Andres, a career in Digital Marketing and a new idea was born. He has since lived in 10 countries, speaks many languages and has worked remotely for over 15 years, going on to write books, speak around the world and fill up over 4 passports. Radical Travel is the idea of shocking your system with spontaneous, and potentially risky voyages to the unknown. In a world where travel has become condensed and dominated by regurgated blogs and social media shots, Radical Travel is a new concept that avoids the beaten path and planning and instead utilizes fate, karma, and the goodness of the human race to overcome your fear of failure, depressive states and helps you realize that not only is life worth living but that you can accomplish.
Andrew’s most popular talk, is a 30-min to 1-hour talk about why over 90% of new businesses fail, and the ways to avoid the top reasons through proven strategies.
This talk also engages the audience quite a bit so I customize it to what their businesses are and what they want to achieve.
This is an exclusive topic that Andrew hasn’t taught in person in Africa as of yet, but revolving around the lessons Andrew has learned working on startups in both in Africa and in Silicon Valley. In this 30 minute keynote presentation Andrew talks about the 7 mindset concepts that are lacking in the region that are commonplace, yet little known in Silicon Valley that Andrew has seen contribute to startup success. These include Faking It Till You Make It, Focusing on Creating Value, Being Reactive not Precautionary, Testing Everything, Being Data Driven and more. Andrew gives attendees a new way to think about their business, like a Silicon Valley Growth Hacker.
This can be 30 mins or 1 hour, this is the talk in the video clip I have attached and in this speech I teach startup founders the art of thinking like a growth hacker, focusing on marketing via their product, the existing communities they can hack into, and some real examples both from now-famous companies, and from my career.

Andrew taught my team how to launch giveaways contact influencer marketing and so much more. It’s insane how much value are in his workshops. It took us a lot of time just to execute everything we learn because it’s so much.

Our workshops with Andrew got us in three months to what would’ve taken us years tractionwise and we eventually were able to hit six figures a month just from his marketing coaching on Paid advertising, PR and social media”
