Dan Quinn is a defensive coach for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. He played as a defensive lineman at Salisbury State University during his college years. Later, Quinn gradually rose from his position as defensive coordinator coach at Hofstra to head coach of the Atlanta Falcons and now defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys.
In 2015, Quinn joined the Falcons and won his first game as head coach, which was broadcast on Monday Night Football. Starting well with 5 wins and no losses, the season levelled out to 8 wins 8 losses. By 2016, Quinn's Falcons went to the NFC Championship after an 11-5 season. With a chance to win a Super Bowl title in 2017, Quinn's Falcons' fell to the New England Patriots. After a disappointing 2018 season, Quinn accepted the defensive coordinator role with the Falcons. The Dallas Cowboys hired Quinn in 2021.
