He is a faculty member of Singularity University Exponential Medicine, a Senior Fellow of the Atlantic Council, and Founder and Chair of the global social movement OneShared.World. He was appointed to the World Health Organization expert advisory committee on human genome editing in 2019. He holds a Ph.D. from Oxford, a law degree from Harvard, and an undergraduate degree from Brown. He is also an avid ironman triathlete and ultramarathon runner.
