Initially, Speaker Jens-Uwe Meyer chose the career of a police commissioner. Among other things, he worked at the Hamburg Davidwache and in a narcotics investigation. After eight years with the Hamburg police, he decided to venture into something different. He became a presenter at the start-up radio station Antenne Niedersachsen and hosted the early morning show there. Later he moved to ProSieben, where he was a chief reporter in the USA as well as in the Middle East.

During this time, he began to focus on economic and social developments through technological progress. Today, the doctor of economics is the author of non-fiction books and a regular guest author in business magazines that call on his expertise. He is particularly interested in digital progress in companies, which he sees as an absolute must in order to be globally competitive in the future.

In 2015, Dr. Jens-Uwe Meyer initiated a radical change in his own company, the then Innolytics GmbH. He transformed his consultancy, which served clients such as Vodafone, Astra Zeneca, Microsoft, and Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte, into a digital company. The company started to develop software - first for idea and innovation management, later for knowledge and quality management. He developed an online marketing strategy that still earns the company top Google rankings today.

At the end of 2020, he transformed Innolytics GmbH into Innolytics AG. The company's articles of association state: “Through continuous innovation, the company shapes future markets of the digital working world. To this end, it invests in the development of digital technologies, digital marketing and sales strategies, and digital business models.”
