As a former Huffington Post managing editor, Jimmy Soni set the foundation for the publication’s launch in India. He left the company prior to the launch to work on his book and later became one of the most well-known authors in the country. Featured in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times for his book The Founders, Soni has received international recognition during his career as an author for delving into the lives of industry titans in math, science, and modern technology. He co-authored a best-selling biography about scientist Claude Shannon, A Mind at Play.
In 2014, Forbes honoured Soni as one of the media’s top 30 Under 30. Crain Communications has previously featured Soni as one of its talented 40 Under Forty. In 2016, Soni worked on a successful political campaign for former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens.
Leveraging his knowledge of technology, Soni travels the country sharing valuable insights into emerging technologies and investments. Speaking to public and private audiences, he explores the history and technology behind modern advancements. Born in France to parents of Indian descent but raised in Chicago, Illinois, Soni attended and graduated from Duke University. He currently lives with his daughter Venice in Brooklyn, New York.
