About Julie
Keynote
As the Cofounder and COO of Eloments Natural Vitamin Tea, speaker Julie Hirsch has seen her enterprise, a world-first 100% natural vitamin tea, secure shelf space in 2000 stores across the globe in just over a year. Not only has Julie been named Telstra’s Victorian Business Woman of the Year and listed in Forbes 30 Under 30, but she also has an exciting vision for the future: of ethical business practice through innovation. Her passion and mission are to realize that vision by building companies with innovation, disruption, and fair trade at their core.
Following two years of research, Julie and Cofounder Nicole launched Eloments – the world’s first 100% natural vitamin tea. Eloments was an overnight success years in the making, securing shelf space in 2000 stores around the world, raising Series A investment as part of the only 2.7% of VC funding that went to female founders in 2019, and most importantly, providing tea lovers with organic certified vitamins and minerals in every cuppa.
Julie’s background in the NGO sector led her to recognize that businesses, particularly startups, have the opportunity to create an impact with every decision they make. She began her career opening and running a voter registration office at the age of 22 before becoming deeply involved in climate change action and working her way to Deputy Director of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition. Julie currently volunteers as the AYCC’s Board Secretary.
In 2020 Julie was awarded the Telstra Business Woman of the Year and the Telstra Emerging Leader of the Year, VIC, and named on Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 List. In addition, in 2019, Julie was awarded the Melbourne Young Entrepreneur of the Year – Food and Beverage by Business News Australia.
Julie’s entrepreneurial story has been featured in publications such as The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Herald Sun, and Kochie’s Business Builders.
