Speaker Dr. Kristie Overstret specializes in helping organizations, businesses, associations, and groups feel more confident and competent in providing services for the LGBTQIA+ community and their employees. She destigmatizes mental health, gives strategies for diversity and inclusion, and inspires the audience to take action to live their best life.
Dr. Kristie has spoken to various audiences, including corporations, businesses, universities, medical schools, non-profits, professional associations, and organizations. A few examples are MassMutual, Marsh & McLennan Agency, TED, Jewelers of America, El Camino Health Systems, Hospital Association of Southern California, Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Augmented World Expo, and various other events.
As a real-world relationship expert, Dr. Kristie speaks about personal growth, empowerment, and personal accountability by providing proven strategies through self-change that improve relationships. As the host of Fix Yourself First with Dr. Kristie, she helps people focus on self-change versus waiting on others to change. She is the author of Fix Yourself First: 25 tips to stop ruining your relationships and Fix Yourself First: 4 Weeks to Improve Your Relationship as a Couple.
Dr. Kristie is the creator of the Transgender Healthcare Dignity Model training and certification program that teaches medical and behavioral health providers how to provide dignity care for transgender and nonbinary patients. She has delivered a TED talk, “What doctors should know about gender identity?”, which will soon have over 1.7 million views. Dr. Kristie’s goal is to ensure every health provider in the world receive training to improve their confidence and competence in transgender and nonbinary healthcare.
