Matt Rhule’s successful college coaching career has catapulted him into the head coaching position for the Carolina Panthers. With a 5-11 record in 2020, Rhule led the Panthers to a 3rd place finish in the NFC South. Leveraging his experience building high-performing college teams, the coach continues to focus on areas of improvement with an eye on capturing the league’s ultimate prize in the future.
Under Rhule’s coaching, Baylor University went from 11 losses in 2017 to earning 11 victories in 2019. He was honored as Big 12 Coach of the Year. Rhule led both Baylor and Temple University to bowl appearances consecutively. With determination, teamwork, and constant focus on improvement, Rhule leverages his experience to transform team productivity.
Rhule attended Penn State and earned a BA in Political Science. Later, he completed a Master’s degree from the University of Buffalo in Educational Psychology. Rhule and his wife have three children.
