Following years of clinical work as a licensed mental health therapist in employee-assistance program, private practice, and university settings, Melissa transitioned from the clinical sector into the field of organizational psychology. Specializing in mental health at work, behavior change, and workplace communication for several years - Melissa’s core goal has been: to equip companies, individuals, and leaders to have constructive conversations about mental health in the workplace.
Her book Yes, You Can Talk About Mental Health at Work…Here’s Why (And How To Do It Really Well) is aiming to do just that. It will be released October 12, 2021 worldwide and is currently available for pre-order. Melissa holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Communications, certification through Stanford University as Chronic Disease Self-Management Educator, and held several state & national clinical licenses when she was in clinical practice. She uses her clinical and organizational psychology experience & training to inform her practical and solution-focused approach that she uses with her clients.
