As an Olympic swimmer, speaker Penny Heyns established herself as the greatest female breaststroker by becoming the only person in the world to hold world records in all three possible distances, the 50m, 100m and 200m events. Penny broke 14 individual world records, and she is the only woman in Olympic history to win both the 100m and 200m breaststroke events in Atlanta 1996 and bronze in Sydney 2000.
Penny’s success is not limited to the swimming pool. After her retirement, she established herself as a businesswoman, sought after keynote speaker and guest television presenter. Her experience both in the world of elite sports and business provides her with a unique insight into what it takes to get to the top – and to stay there.
