Sonja Wasden is passionate about helping both individuals and organisations build open, inclusive, and educational conversations and discussions concerning mental health. At the age of 35, Sonja Wasden was involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric hospital by her husband and her father. At first, she thought it all a mistake; a wife of a CEO, the mother of three children, a home in a beautiful suburb, her life seemed ideal and idyllic. What went wrong?
Sonja Wasden is the co-author of “An Impossible Life”, a touching and true story of perseverance when all hope seemed lost. Wasden's personal story of her mental health struggles serves as a light in the dark, a beacon of hope to all who feel overwhelmed and overtaken by the threat or even stark reality of mental illness.
As a keynote speaker Wasdan has had the privilege of sharing and presenting her story, her message of hope and knowledge, with numerous people, individuals and companies alike. Today she is on a passionate mission to educate on mental health issues in workplace situations, seeking to help her audiences feel confident about their ability to create spaces of mental wellness in their workplace.
