Abuse, street gangs, motorcycle gangs and being shot.....No, it is not the character progression and plot synopsis of the next Bruce Willis or Jet Li action blockbuster, but rather a summary of the struggles and experiences through which Susan Armstrong actually lived!   Most people outside of movie set would not survive any one of these wrecking balls, let alone all five.   But Susan Armstrong not only survived them, she went on to reinvent herself, establish her own company, author a book and use her personal experiences as the blueprint for helping others to be successful and achieve their greatest potential.

Keynote by Susan Armstrong : Harnessing the Power of CETI to Improve Motivation, Productivity, & Your Bottom Line

How do we encourage innovation and creativity within our organizations?
How do we engage in productive conflict?
How do we better manage ambiguity and make good decisions that lead to success?
How do we become better leaders?

The answer is CETI – Confidence, Emotional Intelligence, Trust and Interpersonal Skills.

Here is the problem: when we focus on developing people we tend to focus on the skills of Conflict Management, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Creativity and Innovation, etc.  We are focusing on the wrong things. To be truly effective in this new world of work, and in all of the cognitive leadership skills we prize, we need to focus on higher order abilities. We need an affective shift.

This session will focus on the need, and the importance of developing CETI within our leaders and employees at every level – Confidence, Emotional Intelligence, Trust and Interpersonal Skills. These are the skills of a modern leader, an authentic leader, and what employees expect in their leaders.

These are also the skills that accelerate productive conflict management, allow people to confidently apply critical think skills, not be afraid to be innovative and creative and to be able to deal with the ambiguity that is so prevalent in today’s business environment.

In this interactive session you will:

  • Discover the role of confidence in leadership, performance, motivation and engagement.
  • Experience why Emotional Intelligence is the predicter of success in both personal and business realms.
  • Explore how confidence and emotional intelligence contribute to building trust and credibility.
  • Identify the key interpersonal skills for success in developing strong workplace relationships.
