There are of course many different types of crises, from personal crises such as going through a divorce or losing a job to societal crises such as financial crises, financial depressions.

Although one might argue albeit somewhat cynically that we always learn something from most crises, most of us actively want to go through a crisis. In fact, we prefer to try and steer well clear of them or at least learn how to handle them.
