Book one of our speakers on dyslexia and learn about learning difficulties

Dyslexia

Dyslexia is a learning disorder which makes it difficult to read and write. Dyslexia is not tied to intelligence, and even Einstein was dyslexic. However, it is still commonly misunderstood that dyslexic people have a lower IQ. Our speakers on dyslexia help demystify these myths!

It is estimated that around 5-10% of the world population are dyslexic, but around 70-80% have reading difficulties. This means you’re likely to know someone dyslexic but they might not be honest and open about it.

Our speakers have different focus areas when it comes to the topic of dyslexia. Some might focus on their own journey to success and the obstacles and prejudices they have faced. Some might focus on dyslexia as a learning disorder and talk about what teachers and parents can do to help or how to diagnose someone with learning disabilities. Lastly, some might focus on how managers and leaders can help employees who struggle with dyslexia.

Unfortunately, not enough people know a lot about dyslexia which leads to misunderstandings and judgement about dyslexic people. By booking one of our speakers on dyslexia, you can demystify these myths and learn the facts about the learning disorder.

There are different degrees of dyslexia and someone might not want to admit that they struggle with dyslexia. It is important that we speak openly about learning difficulties and dyslexia in order to understand what it is really like and what we can do to help. Workplaces need to create safe and comfortable settings for their employees to open up about their learning disorder in order to get the right tools and help to get their tasks done.
