Eating Disorders

More people experience that their relationship with their body begins to take too much time in their everyday life. It is very normal to have considerations about body weight, but it can be a problem when it affects both physical and mental well-being.

When one’s behaviour and thoughts are starting to focus on eating habits, appearance and exercise, it can indicate an incipient development of an eating disorder.

Eating disorders can be caused by many different things, for instance following an operation, a diet, unhappy love, bullying or as part of other diseases, etc. Typically, however, eating disorders refer to diseases such as anorexia and bulimia.

The two most common types of eating disorders are anorexia and bulimia. They can be very serious and very dangerous indeed. Often young girls are the victims of these diseases, which can result in severe states of depression and other mental conditions as well as potentially life-threatening physical problems.

Therefore, it is crucial to be aware of the different signals and symptoms indicating an eating disorder and how to get help. Our speakers on eating disorders are looking at the different types of eating disorders as well as eating disorder recovery.

Eating disorders can be life threatening. It can be necessary for kids and young people to get professional help when experiencing disordered eating because of the serious consequences. It is also important for family and friends to have some knowledge about the disorder and how to be able to help their loved ones.

Our speakers on eating disorders will provide your audience with expert knowledge on eating disorders and how to tackle the disease in everyday life. They will give you some practical tools that can help you to live with the disease or to help people affected by eating disorders.
