Iceland is an island nation in the North Atlantic sea. There are around 322.000 inhabitants and th history of Iceland dates back to the Viking era.

Iceland is famous for its wild nature and volcanoes, first and foremost Hekla, and of course for its geysers. Furthermore, Iceland is known for its sagas, documents of the nation’s early viking history, as well as for the Edda poems, part of nordic mythology.

In more recent times Iceland has managed to make a name for itself within the world of international music with famous names such as the post-rock band Sigur Ros and of course electronica diva Björk.
