Latitude, in many ways, is all about tolerance. In recent years the term latitude has often been brought up in discussions concerning children and young people, especially in relation to educational institutions.

Society is made of a number of different people of differing backgrounds in terms of ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, subculture, etc. Latitude is about making room for everybody, despite the differences.
