Scandinavia is a region in Northern Europe consisting of the countries Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Sometimes Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands are also considered to be part of Scandinavia.

Despite differences there are also a lot of cultural similarities between especially Denmark Norway and Sweden – despite – or to some degree perhaps even because of - numerous wars between these nations throughout history.
