About Social Data

  • Social data in online technology is a new kind of customer data, because it is the collective information produced by millions of people as they actively participate in online social activities. It is both provided voluntarily and is relatively easy to access.
  • Social data is the collection of information about what people do and say online, with the added bonus of having happened “in the wild,” as opposed to in a lab room, filling out a survey or trying out a particular product or feature while being watched. In this way the data you accumulate from social data is potentially more valuable than what you collect in the lab. It is the real activity of real customers.
  • Keynotes on social data can focus on the benefits of social data, and focus on how the more accessible social data becomes, the more interesting things can be done with it.
  • Keynote speakers are able to inspire companies and organizations on how social data can change their business strategies.
