About Spin Doctors
- The actual idea is that you do not see the spin doctor, that the spin doctor is pulling the threads, operating off-stage, but nonetheless spin doctors have become a part of the media landscape these days.
- TV programs, fiction as well as non-fiction, sometimes focus on the role of spin doctors in modern politics, thus opening up a debate on political manipulation and spin within the public sphere. The public sphere, after all, is where you find the actual voters.
- Is spin a question of angles, is it manipulation or downright lying? Where to draw the line and what exactly is the state of morals among spin doctors? Are they, to some degree, well-paid political mercenaries?
