World history covers the big picture in the history of the human race, the mass migrations, the important inventions, the new ideas and the devastating wars.

Not every historical period is of equal importance and interest for the future, but what ends up making actual history will only be clear years and years later when the history books are written. Furthermore, sometimes even the history books need rewriting because of new findings that change our view on world history.
